Situated on one of the Marine National Park islands surrounding Mahe, this charming hotel for max. 24 guests was originally designed as a plantation house. It's only 5 km by boat to Victoria, but it seems to be a world away. The excellent location makes L'Habitation more than just an interesting alternative to staying on Mahe (not recommended during SE winds period, though).
The relatively small (1,7 x 0,9 km) island of Cerf offers many beautiful bays and cays, full of tropical vegetation. Only 40 people inhabit the island, there is no road and only 2 hotels.
The 10 spacious beachfront rooms of L'Habitation Cerf, all with terrace overlooking the sea and the Marine Park, are equipped with air-conditioning, IDD telephone, hair drier, mini-bar, TV, and en-suite bathroom.
Situated in 2 individual bungalows in the garden of the hotel compound, the "Frangipani" and "Hibiscus" Junior Suites are tastefully decorated in modern Creole Seychellois style. They are ideal for a romantic honeymoon or for a couple with a child. They are equipped with the same amenities as the Standard rooms
Beach towels are provided by the hotel.
Attractions include a swimming pool, bar and games room as well as diving and snorkelling facilities for a visit to the colourful and varied marine life in the coral reefs that surround this charming island.
The plantation-style restaurant offers a range of delicious creole cuisine that includes local fish, seafood, meat and fruit as well as first-rate international cuisine. At lunchtimes, a new thatched beach kiosk serves grilled fresh fish.
Other facilities include a bar, a swimming pool, a games room and water sports including snorkelling, pedalo and canoeing.
Paid-for activities include diving, big game fishing, long-line fishing and full day boat excursion with picnic.
A number of free shuttle services between Mahe's Eden Island pier and Cerf Island are provided daily (about 5-6 free transfers per day).
Guests with departing flights in the evenings may want to use the free luggage deposit and shower. This way, you can spend the last hours before your flight relaxing on the beach or at the pool. If you wish to use a day room however, this will be charged.
