This is a very friendly, family-run self-catering establishment consisting of 3 apartments overlooking the Indian Ocean with a breathtaking view.
Wonderful Anse La Blague is a hidden secret of Praslin. It's only about 100 meters away from Summer Self Catering Villa. This side of the island is ideal for all those who seek relaxation and peace and the surroundings are fantastic for nature lovers. For example, there are lots of tropical flowers, bushes and fruit trees, much more than elsewhere on Praslin Island. Snorkelling is excellent on both ends of Anse La Blague, with colorful fishes and corals abounding.
This is as quiet, laid-back and easy-going as it gets and what's more: you will hardly have to share the fine white sand of the beach with anyone.
We find that Anse La Blague is best between April/May and November. From December though to March the sea often is a bit rough, due to the prevailing northwest- to north-easterly winds during this time. Depending on the season and wind direction, sea grass may sometimes remain on the beach.
The tastefully decorated apartments of Summer Self Catering Villa offer a huge shared terrace with fantastic sea view. Each apartment has about 70 m2 and features an air-conditioned lounge with flat-screen TV and DVD player, a bedroom (very good mattresses!), a spacious modern bathroom and a simple but fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, oven, kette, toaster, etc.
You may book the apartments at Summer Self Catering Villa either as self catering units or with breakfast and / or dinner. As usual, we have personally tried the dinner and can only recommend it: very nice indeed, Creole cooking at it's best. Please pre-order dinner at least 24 hours in advance.
A small shop a few meters away from Summer Villa is selling the basic necessities, other supermarkets can be found at Baie St. Anne or at the Cote d'Or.
