Anse Soleil Beachcomber

The Beachcomber is a small and romantic guesthouse/hotel at Anse Soleil beach, a little gem in the southeast of Mahe. Far from stressful, hectic everyday bustle, beach life and easy contemplation reigns here.

A sometimes steep and only partially tarmacked road is the only way to get here from the land side. This has its advantages: the beach wich you can easily reach via a steps hewn from stone, often lies pristine and untouched by day tourists. So step off your private veranda on to the silky coral beach, where you can laze, swim or snorkel (at both high and low tides) from one of the safest and most beautiful beaches on Mahe.

The well established guesthouse consists of 12 rooms (5 "Standard", 5 "Superior" and 2 "Premier"), all with private veranda and sea view.

The standard rooms measure 33 m2 and feature a bathroom with toilet & hot water shower, a mini bar fridge, safe, private veranda with sea view, ceiling fan & air condition.

The 43 m2 superior rooms have a fully equipped bathroom with corner bathtub, separate shower, bidet, toilet and hairdryer. In the main room there is both a ceiling fan and air condition, you'll have a mini bar fridge, a safe, television and a private veranda with sea view.

The 61 m2 premier rooms feature a fully equipped bathroom with hot water, large double rain shower, separate toilet & bidet, hairdryer. In the main room there is both a ceiling fan & air condition, mini bar fridge, digital safe, flat screen television & DVD player, tea & coffee facilities. You'll have a private veranda with lounging chairs and excellent sea view.

There is also a new set of self catering apartments available, a few hundred meters from the hotel itself. For details on those apartments, please click here.

There is free WiFi available in the hotel lobby.

The hotel's restaurant serves good local creole food.

Baie Lazare is the next small village 2.2 km away at the main coastal road, and it is here that you may enter a bus, do some shopping or just enjoy the laid back routine of daily life.

The area is well dotted with artists' residences, probably the most famous being the painter Michael Adams, but some not so well known are worth a visit as well.

Every year in the month of June, the hotel is closed.
